ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Scope / Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of financial planning and budgeting frameworks, processes, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate and execute the annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting processes in line with approved requirements and timelines.
  • Collect, review, and consolidate financial inputs from relevant stakeholders and end-users to support budget planning and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with relevant government entities and end-users, including DoF, MOD, and security agencies, on financial planning, budget submissions, and approval requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze budget utilization against approved plans, identifying variances, trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare periodic financial and management reports, dashboards, forecasts, and budget analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Support end-users and internal stakeholders in addressing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial information and relevant asset registers for assets acquired through the Council.
  • Support financial and business reporting activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information.
  • Ensure budgeting and reporting activities comply with applicable financial laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), forecasting, financial reporting, or a related finance function.
  • Good knowledge of budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and budget monitoringProficiency in ERP/financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in government budgeting and coordination with government entities is preferred.
  • Experience within UAE government, defence/security, or other regulated organizations is an advantage.
  • Strong financial analysis, numerical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
