ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Scope / Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the consolidation and review of annual purchasing requirements and develop annual procurement plans aligned with approved budgets and business priorities.
  • Monitor procurement plan execution, analyze deviations and spending trends, and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
  • Develop and periodically review procurement categories, spend classifications, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standard templates.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment, and mitigation of procurement, contractual, and category-related risks.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, purchase orders, amendments, variations, change orders, renewals, and other purchasing agreements.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle from execution through performance monitoring, amendments, renewal, termination, and closure.
  • Monitor supplier and contract performance against agreed scope, quality, timelines, service levels, commercial terms, and contractual obligations.
  • Assess contractual issues, delays, breaches, and performance gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions, remedies, or penalties.
  • Evaluate the commercial and contractual implications of scope changes, contract variations, extensions, and early termination.
  • Manage and coordinate vendor relationships on contractual and purchasing matters and support the resolution of complex issues and disputes.
  • Coordinate with Finance and relevant stakeholders on invoice and payment matters to ensure alignment with contractual terms and deliverables.
  • Provide procurement and contractual advice to internal stakeholders and support effective decision-making.
  • Prepare management reports and analyses on procurement plans, spend, contract performance, risks, vendor performance, and key issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement planning, contract management, governance, and purchasing practices.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; a relevant Master’s Degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in procurement, contracts management, purchasing, supply chain, or a related function.
  • Strong experience in procurement planning, contract lifecycle management, purchasing, commercial analysis, and vendor management.
  • Good knowledge of contractual and commercial terms, procurement governance, contract variations, change orders, performance management, and risk management.
